Inheritance And Debts
Please can someone advise me. Our Turkish client died while owing our company a lot of money (our company is based in Poland). I heard that her sister is going to apply for custody of her young daughter and close down her business activities. I think there will be no money left in the inheritance but I really need the invoices that our client did not pay us before she died to be registered in the inheritance proceedings - if I do not get these unpaid invoices registered in the court inheritance proceedings then I will have to pay tax on this money in Poland). The sister of our dead client refuses to give us the Court File Number so that we can register the debt. Please can someone advise what we should do! How can I find out what court the case is being held and also what is the court file number for this matter. Thanks for any advice.

You need to file debt collection process against the inheritors.
This procedure needs to be handled carefully as you can get entitlement to request the proof of inheritance paper from Turkish courts. Also the family records could be asked from the Population office (If the deceased had Turkish citizenship) In this case it will matter that if the inheritors rejected the inheritance. I would suggest that you get professional legal help for your issue. Regards, |
