Renting out Property to Tourists in Turkey

I have been told that you are no longer allowed to advertise property for holiday rentals unless you engage a Turkish account. Can anyone provide me with more detail regarding this ruling?

I guess you need to clarify what you mean by "Turkish Account".

If you meant being registered to Turkish IRS and pay taxe for the income of your property you are hiring, that is correct. Whether you are Turkish citizen or Foreign (residing in OR out of Turkey) does not matter in this regard, if you are having pursuing this as a business, having a steady revenue and the source of this revenue is in Turkey (property location), then you need to register and pay taxes for this income. (Legislation/Code number 193, Articles 1, 3, 4, 6)

However there is no recent change on this legislation. It was already so for years. Also it regulates revenue taxing system, not "advertising of the business" as you phrased.
