New Legislation regarding property?
Dear Madam Sir,
I am an foreigner who was looking to invest in Turkey. Recently I heard that there was a new legislation preventing foreigners from doing so. Can you please tell me more about this situation? Is it possible to circumvent this law? I was planning to buy a 5000 m2 land, and im guessing I cant do that anymore |

Mr. Oldborough,
On the contrary, there was a new legislation "direct foreign investment code" countenancing foreigners to investing. But the Turkish Constitutional Court decided that the article 3 of that code allowing limitless foreign investment is contrary to Turkish Constitution. But even this judgement will be valid 6 months after publishing in official register. Don't panic! |
