Divorce - no representation in the Turkish court

I am a foreign national living outside Turkey and my wife and 1 year old child are in Turkey. She has filed for divorce and custody. I don't intend to challenge the divorce. I am told that if I don't attend the hearing or even if I don't appoint a lawyer, it will be fine and she will get the divorce. Is this true?

After that, will the divorce papers be sent to me and do I have to sign finally accepting the divorce?

In the matter of child support, is this done at the same time as the divorce or is it another case to be filed by her?

Is she entitled to claim any other compensation from me in addition to child support? She was together with me for less than 6 months.

A divorce decision may be granted exclusive of the attendance of the other party before the Court.However, the divorce case must be notified to your side formally without which the proceedings cannot go on.

In case the decision was rendered and become final, then there is no need of a signature or the consent of the litigant spouse.

The issue of guardianship and the allowance for the children is settled in the same case for divorce .Compensation for tangible or intangible loss or maintenance allowance may be additionally claimed; yet the legal requirements and circumstances should be proven by the claimant.
