Inheritance Laws
Hello: can you please advise if disinhering an adult child (18) is illegal in Turkey?. In the States, giving children inheritance is more a moral law, but not so much a legal requirement, but I believe Turkey has better protection for the spouse and children of a deceased. Thank you.

Disherison in Turkish civil law is not arbitrary and subject to several requisites. For instance if the heir perpetrates an aggravated crime against the deceased or his/her relatives; neglects his legal duties against the deceased or his family. In these circumstances the person may disinherit the heir.
