I am hoping someone can help, my husband and I purchased some land in Turkey (£100,000, we remortgaged our house in england). Now i feel our marrige is ending and a divorce will soon happen. the land is in my husbands name and i am worried i will not be able to look after our children properly if i have to continue to pay a high mortgage. Do I have any legal rights to the land? is it possible for a court in the uk to include the land in a divoce settlement? Would Turkish law demand the property be sold and split so i can have some money back to help me and our 3 children? I was born and live in the UK with my Turkish husband and our 2 children.... I am expecting a baby in July too!
