Hello,

I am an English woman who has been residing in Turkey since 2005.

I have just got married to a Turkish man and want to apply for citizenship.

I have read that to apply for citizenship as a foreigner, I have to be resident in the country for 5 years or married to a Turkish Citizen for 3 years.

Is there anyway to obtain citizenship other than that as I have already spent 2 years resident in the country which would mean I need another 3 as a foreigner but but by that time I would have been married for 3 years also which seems a little unfair as it will still be total of 5 years.
