The Act on the Residence and the Travel of the Foreigners in Turkey lays down in its Art.3 that aliens who intend to take a job in Turkey should apply for a deed of residence to the competent authority( police headquarters) within a month since the arrival and/or in any case prior to have initiated occupation.

A period of 4 month is permitted to stay without the need of said document of residence if the touristic visa has no other indication of a time limitation.
