Turkish Guy Who Graduated From An English Law School - Equivalency?
Dear all,
I am a Turkish guy practicing law in England & Wales and I would like to register with the Bar of Istanbul.
As far as I understand, since I have already practiced law in the UK for over 4 yrs and I hold an English law degree, I won't have to undertake the internship/training at the bar. Nor do I need to pass the "Law Exam".
However I still need to pass all the exams for subjects I haven't studied in accordance with Turkish law.
Please let me know how I can take these exams (do I need to sit for classes? or just take the exams? & will any university allow me to sit for their final exams even though I am not a student there?)
and please tell me which courses are "required" or "core" in Turkish law e.g. in England (Constitutional Law, Tort, Contract, Criminal Law, Property Law, EC/EU Law, Equity & Trusts)
any help would be greatly appreciated...
hope all is well
